Umahi, Wike, El- rufai Badaru, Tinubu’s son- in law makes ministerial list

…as Oyetola, Ayade lost out

Four immediate former governors have been nominated alongside 24 others as minister- designated by President Bola Tinubu.

The four ex- governor’s ate; Senator David Umahi, Ebonyi, Nyesom Wike, Rivers, Nasir el- Rufai, Kaduna and Abubakar Badaru, Jigawa.

The President sent a list of 28 nominees in the first tranche of his proposed cabinet to the Senate yesterday.

On the list also is a son – in – law to Tinubu, Hon. Bunmi Tunji- Ojo, acting National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Abubakar Kyari , legal luminary, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and the current Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Mr. Dele Alake.

Other nominees are; Abubakar Momoh,
Ambassador Yusuf Miatama Tukur CON, Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa, Barr. Hannatu Musawa , Chief Uche Nnaji, Dr. Berta Edu
Dr. Dorris Aniche Uzoka, Rt. Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo, Hon. Nkiru Onyeojiocha,
Hon. Stella Okotette, Hon. Uju Kennedy Ohaneye , Mr. Bello Muhammad , Mr. Muhammad Idris Mr. Olawale Edun.

The rest are: former Deputy Governor of Central Bank, Mr. Waheed Adebayo Adelabu , Mrs Iman Suleiman Ibrahim, Professor Ali Pate , Professor Joseph Hussain , Senator John Eno and Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi.

President Tinubu in the executive correspondent containing the list which was specifically delivered by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, said subsequent list of names of further nominees will be forwarded to the Senate.

However, against speculations of people that could make the list, names of former governor, Prof Ben Ayade, Cross River and Gboyega Oyetola, Osun were conspicuously absent on the list.
