The company also disclosed the appointment of Mr. Tolulope Oluwole as the Head, Investor Relations Department. Oluwole had been appointed as Acting Head of the Investor Relations Department on 28, July 2016, in line with FBNH’s succession plan.
Also, Mr. Ekpe Ukpabio, FBNH disclosed has been appointed as Executive Director of FBN Insurance Limited, a subsidiary of FBNH, which however is subject to regulatory approvals.
Meanwhile, FBNH has announced commencement of its closed period to start on Monday, October 9th, 2017, through to 24 hours after release of its nine months result.
The bank said, “This is to inform the public and our stakeholders that the Board of Directors of FBN Holdings Plc will be meeting to consider the 2017 unaudited Nine- Month Accounts of FBN Holdings Plc on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.”
Consequently, there will be a closed period from Monday, October 9, 2017; and same will last till twenty-four hours after the Accounts are filed with the Exchange in line with Rule 17.18 of Part 2(Issuer’s Rules) of the NSE’s Rule Book (2015).
During the closed period, no director, member of the company, relation or associate (s) of members of the mandate any form of transaction in the company’s shares, a rule prescribed by the market operators to guide against insider abuse.
Meanwhile, African Prudential Registrars Plc has announced its proposed board meeting scheduled for October 21, just as the company’s members will observe close period from October 4th to 21st.
In a release published by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, and signed by the Managing Director/CEO, Africa Prudential Plc, Peter Ashade, the company said,
“In compliance with Rule 15, 16 and 17 of Amended Listing Rules of The Nigerian Stock Exchange, we wish to notify The Exchange and our esteemed shareholders that Africa Prudential Plc has placed restrictions on the period of trading on the shares of the company.
It added, “In view of the Board meeting slated for October 19, 2017, the following dates are regarded as “Closed Period” in respect of which no insider of Africa Prudential Plc may buy and or sell shares of the Company – From October 4, 2017 to October 21, 2017.”
