Uduaghan Hails INEC, Deltans on Peaceful Polls

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has commended Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for improving on the conduct of Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

Uduaghan spoke after casting his vote at  Abigborodo in Warri North local Government Area of the state.

Addressing newsmen at Umuegbe Primary School Polling Unit where he voted alongside his wife, Roli, Governor Uduaghan said that INEC had improved on the conduct of the last Saturday Presidential Election as  its staff and election materials arrived polling stations early.

He said that he had also received information from security agencies that voters were orderly adding that the development was a plus for deltans as well as the security agenda of the state government.

Uduaghan also commended Deltans for conducting themselves peacefully and orderly during the polls saying that the peaceful behaviour had proved analysts who had listed Delta State as a flash point wrong.

“The INEC conduct of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the Umuegbe Primary School polling station, Abigborodo Ward Six was an improvement on its conduct of d Presidential Election, INEC officials and election materials arrived the polling station at 8 55 am while accreditation started at 9 52 am.”
