Udo off to Vietnam for contract talks

According to reports, Nigeria U-23 international Ndifreke Effiong Udo is set to end his status as a home-based player and will travel to Vietnam for contract talks with V.League 1 club Sông Lam Nghệ An, with a view to a transfer in the summer transfer market.

If Ndifreke passes his medical with flying colours and proves he is in good physical condition while training with SLNA, he will be offered a contract.

This is not one of those trips by a Nigerian Professional Football League player as Ndifreke’s trip to the Far East has the blessing of Abia Warriors management.

The deal taking the 18-year-old to Sông Lam Nghệ An was brokered by ex-Enyimba star Uche Dominic Egbukwu, who was involved in negotiations with Udinese for the transfer of Isaac Success few years ago.
Ndifreke Effiong Udo represented Nigeria at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil and helped the country win a bronze medal.
