Two Killed, 10 Rescued in Adamawa Fire Incidents

Two persons were confirmed dead in fire incidents in Adamawa in 2014.
State Director, Fire Services, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu disclosed this to newsmen in Yola on Monday.
According to him, only 10 people and property worth N25 million were saved from fire disaster in the year under review.
“In 2014, two persons were killed, while 10 people were saved in the state.” Adamu said, adding that 102 fire incidents were recorded across the state with Yola North (Jimeta) Local Government Area recording 65.
He said that the revenue generation target for 2014 was N5million, but, due to insecurity challenges, the fire service only raised N2million.
