Twitter officially stops working in Nigeria

Twitter, the popular microblogging network, has officially ceased operations in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This comes just hours after the Federal Government declared Twitter’s suspension in a statement signed by Lai Mohammed.

In Nigeria, the Twitter app presently displays the message “Tweets aren’t loading right now.” ‘Try again,’ but once linked to a VPN, the program works flawlessly.
