Troops kill Turji’s son, score of terrorists

Nigerian troops have killed the son of a notorious terrorist leader, Bello Turji and are closing up on the embattled terror leader as he runs from pillars to pole.
The Defence Headquarters said in a statement late Sunday night that troops killed Turji son and scores of terrorists on Fakai high ground where the terrorists were hiding.
Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba who disclosed this said the operation was conducted by troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA and air component.
adding that the coordinated clearance operations was conducted on January 17 along Shinkafi , Kagara, Fakai , Moriki, Maiwa and Chindo axis.
“The intensity of troops fire power resulted in high terrorist casualties and their logistics hub destroyed. The operations also resulted in the rescue of several kidnapped hostages held captive by Bello Turji.” He added that the terrorist leader Turji, being a coward escaped abandoning his son and his combatants.

The statement said in a related development , troops also destroyed another terrorist kingpin camp known as Idi Mallam along Zango Kagara Forest . During the encounter, troops neutralized 3 terrorist, and arrested 3 suspected collaborators.
Troops recovered two machine guns, one AK47 Rifle with a magazine containing 11 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition. Additionally, 61 rustled cattle’s, 44 sheep’s were rescued among other sundry items.
He said troops are continuing with the onslaught against the terrorist.and are committed to provide protection and ensure safety of all citizens across the country.
