Traditional ruler dies in Enugu road crash

The traditional ruler of Agbamere, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Patrick Ezeugwu, on Monday died in an accident involving his official car and a water tanker.  The Monday’s accident occurred exactly one week after three people were killed in the same Nsukka LGA.      

Chairman of Nsukka LG Traditional Rulers Council, Mr Aloysius Ezeugwu, who confirmed the accident to our correspondent expressed shock over the death of  one of their members.

Late Ezeugwu  until his death was the Publicity Secretary of Nsukka Traditional Rulers’ Council.

A police officer in Nsukka who pleaded anonymity also confirmed the death and said police had commenced investigations into the accident between water tanker  with registration number XA405 ENU and Hyundia Electra with number HRH 183 the car belonging to the late Ezeugwu.
