Bitrus and Danjuma Sale were arrested around Tungan-Baki area of Bauchi state on June, 30th for being in possession of one baboon, three patas monkeys, one porcupine, two warthogs, and one guinea fowl.
The arrested hunters/poachers also had seven hunting dogs with them that attempted to attack the rangers.
Danjuma had been previously arrested in Yankari, and so he was sentenced to two years in jail. As a first-time offender, Amos was however sentenced to six months in jail.
