Tottenham have completed the signing of full-back Matt Doherty from Wolves. The Irishman is Jose Mourinho’s third signing of the summer transfer window, according to findings by DAILY TIMES.
The Irishman left Molineux after ten years making over 300 appearances including 95 since Wolves returned to the Premier League. He is seen as a replacement and an upgrade to the erratic and departing Serge Aurier by Tottenham fans.
The rivalry between Tottenham and Arsenal was on display as Tottenham uploaded a video of Doherty deleting two tweets about their North London rivals. The tweets read “I love Arsenal forever and ever” and “I’m a huge fan of Arsenal.”

Tottenham have already secured the signature of veteran goalkeeper and free agent Joe Hart and Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton.
The Premier League winner and former England number one, Joe Hart in an exclusive interview with the BBC while he was still a free agent said “I just need someone to believe in me, and I’ll repay that faith.” he was signed by Tottenham shortly after.
Jose Mourinho took over at Tottenham in November 2019 after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked. The special one took the club from 14th on the log to a respectable 6th, also securing Europa League football next season.
Hotspur is the pragmatic Mourinho’s third job in England. He has also managed at Chelsea over two stints and Manchester United.
