Questions about why he founded TMY Media hardly catch Ajayi Solomon unaware. He has often furnished satisfactory answers to such queries, just as he did recently during an interview.
“Aside from the love I have for entertainment, my experience as a media professional, coupled with my technical ability as a computer expert informed my decision to establish a media outfit.
And my vision is to build the Nigerian media industry to the next level, hence, the founding of TMY Media,” he explained.
While it has earned a reputation as one of the most efficient and effective media and PR companies in Nigeria, it still comes as a surprise to many that the Festac, Lagos-based TMY Media (also known on social media as tmymediang) is involved in music.
“The idea of TMY was first conceived in 2013 with a vision to set up music record label groups,” he stated, “so if you see us involved in music production and promotion, we are simply fulfilling one of our objectives.”
Speaking further, the TMY Media boss averred, followers of the company on social media, especially on Instagram, @tmymediang, are aware that the company is heavily involved in music services.
He added: “For instance, on May 17, TMY Media did a recording promo whereby we invited artistes to record one song at our world-class studio at N40k and get one free recording.
In addition, artistes who recorded at the TMY Media studio are also afforded the opportunity to promote their songs in all the company’s social media platforms for free.”
In this manner, tmymediang has promoted Specdo’s Afro-pop album, Ginger, Jefay’s “Something For You” track off his Goodness EP and Davi Richie’s On You album.
