Tinubu supporters kick- start nationwide rice distribution
Supporters of President Bola Tinubu under the aegis of Tinubu Support Group (TSG) kicked- off a nationwide rice distribution exercise at its Maitama headquarters in Abuja, on Saturday.
The Convener of TSG, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke addressed leaders and members of pro-Tinubu support groups from across the country.
He highlighted the rice distribution as a way to give back to Nigerians during the Christmas season.
“This rice distribution is our way of giving back to the people and celebrating the festive season with them. I urge all members to know that President Tinubu means well for the nation and is always ready to listen to the plight of Nigerians,” Faleke said.
He thanked members of the support groups for their tireless efforts in supporting the party and the nation.
“I sincerely appreciate all members of the support groups present here today for the hard work you have continued to put in for the progress of this country,” he stated.
Faleke also encouraged members to prepare for the party’s upcoming programmes and the second phase of voter registration in January.
“The party will be unveiling its programmes very soon, and you must all get ready. The second phase of voters registration will start in January. Mobilize everyone to register,” he said.
He emphasized that TSG was the pioneer of President Tinubu’s political journey.
“TSG is the pioneer of President Tinubu’s aspiration because we saw the vision. We knew the nation needed his expertise, and today, he is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he added.
In his welcome address, the Director-General of TSG praised Hon. Faleke for carrying along support groups and facilitating the rice distribution to members. He disclosed that all 36 states would benefit from the initiative and described it as a demonstration of unity and gratitude toward groups that contributed to President Tinubu’s election victory.
The DG also highlighted key achievements of the Tinubu administration, including economic stabilization, the student loan programme, adequate funding for states, and strengthened local government autonomy, while urging members to continue praying for Hon. James Faleke.
Notable attendees at the event included Senators Magnus Abe, Baffa Dan Agundi the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Abah Isah, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Needs, Hon. (Engr.) Magaji Da’u Aliyu, Deputy Director General (North) of TSG and Chief Ayuba Gufwan is the Executive Secretary of Nigeria’s National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
