Tinubu Disowns 2027 Campaign
The presidency has disowned the growing number of billboards promoting a 2027 campaign for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
In a statement released on Sunday, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu and Shettima appreciate their teeming and loyal enthusiasts but do not support any campaign that breaches Nigeria’s laws.

The statement emphasized that the billboards, seen in cities like Abuja and Kano, were not authorized by the leaders.
The presidency has called for an immediate stop to the campaigns.
It stressed that President Tinubu is focused on his current duties and will announce any plans for the 2027 elections once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) gives the nod.
