Tinubu approves APC faction in Benue state

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved and recognized that the All Progressives Congress, Benue state chapter has two factions.

The acknowledgement was displayed by the recent appointments of governing councils of some federal government institutions by the President and announced by his special Adviser on communications, Bayo Onanuga.

There has been a cold war between the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume and the Benue State Governor Fr Hyacinth Alia both leading a faction of the APC in Benue.

While the SGF recognizes the Austinia Agada faction the state Governor approves of the Benjamin omale led faction.

The two factions are also currently locking horns at the Benue state Local Government elections tribunal to determine the actual faction whose primaries should be recognized ,although the APC won the elections in all the 23 local governments.

In acknowledging the two factions President Bola Tinubu appointed my Omale as chairman of the governing council of National orthopaedic National hospital ,Enugu wherein he was addressed as APC chairman,Benue state chapter .

In the same set of appointments ,President Tinubu also recognized another factional leader ,Austiania Agada as Benue State chairman of the APC and named him board chairman for the National Agricultural Seed council.

This is a potential move to fuel the crisis brewing within the ranks of the party on Benue and high ten tension amongst party supporters .

Daily Times gathered that the two appointments were deliberate and aimed at further providing incentives to the crisis .
