Tinubu appoints Dakas, Eugene to head Nigeria Law Reform Commission

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday swore in Dakas C. J. Dakas as chairman and Uchenna Eugene as commissioner of the Nigeria Law Reform Commission.
The ceremony, held at the council chambers of the State House before the federal executive council (FEC) meeting, is part of efforts to strengthen the commission’s work in reviewing and updating the country’s legal framework.
The commission is mandated to advise the federal government on legislative reforms that promote justice, fairness and good governance in line with Nigeria’s evolving social, economic and political realities.
During the meeting, council members observed a minute of silence in honour of Audu Ogbeh, former minister of agriculture and rural development, who died on August 9 at the age of 78.
Tinubu described Ogbeh as “a committed patriot whose contributions to agriculture and national development will be remembered for generations.”
