Thunderstorm Destroys Many Houses in Osun
Many areas in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, were affected by a downpour, accompanied by thunderstorms, during the weekend.
The rain destroyed buildings, and electrical poles.
The areas affected by the rain included Oja Oba, Igbona, Ago Wande, and Ibokun Road among others.
While the rainfall was light in some areas, it was heavy and fierce in other places, where it lasted for more than 10 minutes.
When our correspondent visited some of the affected areas, it was gathered the areas worse hit by the thunderstorms were neighbourhoods with old buildings.
