No fewer the 100 houses were on Monday, destroyed by a nearly Thunderstorm which wreaked havoc in Udu Community in Delta State. Reports said the thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rainfall for several hours, sends residents into panic situation as many of them went to the neighboring community for fear of the unknown.
Add restive Journalists, the nearest General of Ovwian community, Chief Matthew Uparan said the devastating effects of the storm was torts on its kind in the annals of the victims slept in the cold that night while hundreds of others suffered untold hardship.
Investigation revealed that school buildings with various classrooms were reduced to rubbles by the storm it also displaced the school pupils/ teachers.
The Tornado like storm, with its devastating violent Cyclone movement carried the entire roof off the Ovwian primary School buildings, and deposited it on other buildings, thereby creating more devastating effects at the Land.
