Thugs Shoot at Delta PDP Senatorial primaries as Senator Nwaoboshi emerges

Thousands of thugs allegedly hired by two strong contenders senator Peter Nwaoboshi and Prince Ned Nwoko both PDP Senatorial Aspirants in Delta North senatorial district on Tuesday at the venue of the primaries shot sporadically to scare delegates.

The primaries held at Cenotaph venue along Okpanam road, Asaba witnessed large crowd of people including supporters of the three Aspirants Paul Osaji, Ned Nwoko, and Peter Nwaoboshi.

It was alleged that Senator Nwaoboshi had before the primaries threatened to disrupt the primaries Midway with his supporters, many of whom allegedly recruited as thugs and members of a cult group.

But the state police Commissioner Mustafa Muhammad who spoke with Journalists dispelled as untrue adding that the police were on ground to maintain laws and order as anyone found wanting will be dealt with according to the law.

Meanwhile, returning Officer Tunde Shedrack has announced that Senator Peter Nwaoboshi pulled a total of 506 votes, Ned Nwoko 453 and Paul Osaji 216 votes respectively.

Supporters of Ned Nwoko have taken to the street with war songs in protest of the election results.
