Threats To Life: Renounced member of Eiye confraternity under attacks by dreaded group

Palpable tension gripped the family of Osazee Larry Enaruna in Benin City on June 10th 2022 during a foiled kidnap attempt by some suspected cultists who attempted to kidnap his wife, Mrs.Osazee Enaruna while she had gone to pick up her children from school.

The cultists, according to information gathered, are members of the Eiye Confraternity who have been on the trail of a former member Osazee Larry Enaruna since 2020 after he publicly renounced membership of the dreaded cult group over acts of notoriety and criminality ranging from kidnapping, murder, raping and armed robbery .

The kidnapping attempt on Mrs.Osazee Rachael and her children, though unsuccessful as it was foiled by vigilant security officials at the school, the visibly shaken mother of 4 children, tearfully narrated how she narrowly escaped being kidnapped .

A visibly-shaken Mrs.Osazee Rachael said her family since late 2020 following the public renounciation of the Eiye Confraternity membership by her husband, members of the dreaded cult who vowed to make life a living hell for them by eliminating her husband and his family if he fails to return to the group, had made several desperate efforts to wipe out her family.

It will be recalled that members of the dreaded group struck first on January 18th 2021 during a marriage ceremony in Benin City where he was warned to return or live with the dire consequences of his actions .

As a former member of the Eiye Confraternity, Osazee Larry Enaruna, a valuable asset to the cult group, rose to becoming the second in command in the group before his renounciation in late 2020.

Also on April 6th 2021 at about 8pm, on his way from work, Osazee Larry Enaruna had a close shave with death when he was ambushed by some masked men who violently unleashed terror on him as he was beaten up mercillesly to stupor and in the process one of the boys unmasked his face to reveal his identity to him.

It was further gathered that the attack on his family and friends leading to the destruction of valuable property on December 25th 2021 on the occasion of his 3rd son’s birthday, would always serve as a constant reminder to the family of security threats the cult members pose to the family as the guests and family members who were also in attendance were brutally attacked and left wounded in the attack .

Meanwhile, the recent cult rivalry between Eiye Confraternity and the Black-Axe members in Benin City led to the murder of a young man in company of his family during a Sunday church service .

However, as violent and bloody the attacks on Osazee Larry Enaruna and his family seemed with his life in grave danger, virtually all the attacks were reported at the police station with no guarantee of his safety and security owing to the growing cases of many unresolved cult killings without any arrest made.
