A man identified as Akinyemi Ademola Gabriel has reportedly fled from his community in a suburban axis of Lagos State with his family after suspected cultists on his trail, allegedly murdered his father Chief.C.A Akinyemi in September 2019 after several failed attempts to apprehend him.
Trouble however started for the fleeing Akinyemi Ademola when sometimes in August 2019 in the middle of the night in his neighbourhood, when some suspected cultists murdered a man within his neighbourhood.
It was said that while Akinyemi Ademola and his wife from their window in his apartment witnessed the murder, a phone belonging to Akinyemi Ademola rang all of a sudden, instantly attracting the attention of the cultists to his apartment as they immediately knew they(cultists) were being watched..
Investigation however revealed that the suspected cultists went on his trail to stop him from disclosing their identities in the murder case as his life instantly came under severe threats from the cultists.
Akinyemi Ademola, following the instant threats to his life, was said to have moved out of the community to an undisclosed location which invariably led to an attack on Chief.C.A Ademola .
His father was murdered by the cultists in his house after several failed attempts to track him down in September 2019, it was confirmed
Our correspondent gathered that Akinyemi Ademola was however trailed down to his new apartment where a death threat letter in his name was spotted by his landlord within his compound in July 2022.
It was gathered that the threatening content of the letter which was in Akinyemi Ademola’s name stated that they (cultists) were going to come for him anytime in August 2022 as he had already been marked for death for being a prime witness to the murder which took place in August 2019
Confirmed report however revealed that he was asked to move out of the apartment in view of the growing concerns around the increased threats to life after the death threat letter was spotted in the compound.
Recent findings in the community however revealed that the cultists made good their threats in August 2022 when it attacked the residence but discovered Akinyemi Ademola had relocated again to an undisclosed location as his whereabouts remained unknown to anyone in the community.
As concerns around the safety and security of life and property in the community heighten in the aftermath of the recent attack in the neighborhood by the cultists, it was gathered that a case of threats to life was however reported at the police station as no arrest had been made at the time of this report.
