Thomas Dennerby: Super Falcons will win AWCON Group B, final squad November 4

Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby has said he is confident his team will win 2018 AWCON Group B, which also has South Africa, Kenya and Zambia, and also disclosed he will name his final squad for the tournament on November 4.

Defending champions Nigeria will open their title defence on November 18 in Cape Coast, Ghana, and Dennerby admitted Banyana Banyana of South Africa will be the tough nut in Falcons group.

We’re in a good group and really have a good chance to win it even though we expect a tough game against South Africa,” Swede coach Dennerby said.

We have a good idea of South Africa, but not much about Zambia and Kenya.

We will try to analyse these teams and we won’t underrate them.”

The Falcons coach has opened a training camp for 28 domestic league players and foreign-based pros will soon join up.

Dennerby said he will name his final squad of 21 players for the 2018 AWCON on November 4.
