Terrorists attack southern Kaduna community, kill, kidnap
Terrorists suspected to be militia herdsmen have reportedly attacked Agunu Dutse community in Kachia local government area of Southern part of Kaduna State.
The incident occurred in the community at 12 :15am on 11th December 2025, with bandits shooting sporadically resulting in the death of 19-year-old Manaon Joseph, while Bitrus Francis who sustained gunshot injury is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Another victim, Bulus Ayuba, was reportedly kidnapped during the attack, as the Chairman of Agunu Dutse Community Development Association, Maurice Clement Tanko, said the attack has thrown the community into shock and fear of staying in their ancestral home.

“This is the fourth attack on Agunu community, with multiple abductions and killings reported. The community is calling for increased security measures and address the ongoing insecurity in the area”, they said.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Agunu Dutse Community Development Association Maurice Clement Tanko, said “attack has thrown the community into shock and fear staying in their ancestral home”
“The constant attacks our community and the people have multiple negative impact, many of us cannot harvest our farm produce due to the fear of kidnapping by this terrorists”
“We are calling on international community and government intensify effort to address insecurity challenges in community to enable maintain the farming as our source of livelihood”, he added.
