The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed that 13 persons lost their lives while ten others sustained various degrees of injuries in the tanker explosion in Jos North LGA. The Command also said 28 shops, eight cars, six tricycles and two motorcycles were destroyed in the incident. DAILY

Reports say several fatalities have been recorded following a tanker explosion at the Tafa axis along the Kaduna-Abuja federal highway. It was gathered that the explosion occurred after a tanker loaded with petroleum products and avoided a collision on the highway with a commercial Golf car, skidded off the highway.
