Suspected Fraudsters allegedly swindle Delta lawmaker $120, 000

Suspected fraudsters, who operate with different styles of business transaction, have allegedly swindled a lawmaker representing one of the constituencies in Ika axis (name withheld).

It was reliably gathered that the “swindlers” now on the run to the United States of America (USA), visited the hardworking lawmaker to introduce him to unspecified business, where he allegedly seal the transactions parted with the huge sum of $120, 000.

Although, tongues are wagging over the business transactions which seemed to have hit the rock, but the situation had affected the lawmaker who used to be very assertive and is contemplating travelling to United States of America (USA) next month July in search of the suspected fraudsters with their addresses.

Investigation revealed that the transactions have been ongoing since May 2017 until recently the suspected fraudsters allegedly succeeded in ripping off the lawmaker.

Those in the know said that the lawmaker allegedly sold most of his properties to make payments for the business transaction that was reportedly backed up by unverified documents.

Sources said that in the last few months, fraudsters have swindled top Deltans with fictitious documents after which the victims were said to have parted with unspecified sums of money.

With tension said to have enveloped the lawmaker, his close friends who were also said to have been introduce to the same business yet to be made open, have reneged in their decision to invest when they “smelt a rat “of insincerity in the business.

Contacted for a reaction on telephone, the lawmaker whose voice was muffled, said: “my brother I’m very sorry that I’m almost in deep mess, some persons who came to Nigeria in the name of business transaction, seemed to have duped me, as I speak to you, I have nothing in my account and I’m heading to USA next month July with their addresses to see how I can trap them with the help of security agents”.
