Why supporters of Imo deputy governor, Okorocha’s son in-law got involved in violent clash

Scores of people were yesterday injured at thé Neaorie Ubi the headquarters of Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state following à clash between thé supporters of the state deputy governor Prince Eze Madumere and Governor Rochas Okorocha’s son-inlaw Chief Uche Nwosu .
Trouble saïd to have started when group “I Believe”championing the governorship ambition of Nwosu who is thé Chief of Staff Gouvernement House shouted “I Believe”and the response with lloud ovation “Madumere for governor”
Daily Times gathered that the action of Nwosu’s supporters did not go down well with people who gathered at thé councils hall as they (people) started giving the “Believe group)” the beating of their life.
It was reported that no few than 20 membres of Okorocha’s Son in-law received various degree of injury as their cloths were torn to pièces .An eye witness account reports that plastic chairs , bottles and other missiles were freely used.
Thé state deputy governor hails from thé council(Mbaitoli LGA) as his kinsmen saw the action of Nwosu campaign team as affront since thé deputy governor is on thé governorship race in thé state.
In a related développement,à group from Ikeduru to Gouvernement House Owerr LGA led by Chief Charles Amadi for thé endorsement of Uche Nwosu resulted to action alleging that they were deceived.
“We were not told anything about thé endorsement of Uche Nwosu. We were told that the state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha wants to see us “.
It took the quick intervention of security agencies at Government House to put thé situation under control.
