Students of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, have been charged to involve actively in entrepreneurial skills.
This call was made last week at the exhibition and public lecture series held at the Rev. Chris Oyakhilome Auditorium in the university.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. C.A Agbebaku, noted that entrepreneurial development was introduced into the university curriculum by the National University Commission (NUC) due to its peculiar nature in helping to advance the cause of self training and development in the creation of employment opportunities by our youths for themselves and others in the face of present mass unemployment in the country.
Agbebaku also congratulated students whose products were displayed during the exhibition, urging them to put more effort as in no distant time products like cars and other highly technical equipment will be produced and showcased at future exhibitions
Products manufactured by the students include beads, shoes, belts, art works, flowers, tie and dye, paints, soups, body cream, bleach, perfume among others.
