StarTimes partners Iyabo Ojo, Muka Ray on new TV series ‘Okirika’

As part of demonstrating its commitment to satisfy the growing demands of viewers for Local content; StarTimes has join forces with talented Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo and director extraordinaire, Muka Ray Eyiwunmi to produce a new TV series ‘ Okirika’ that will capture the minds of the audience.
With a stellar cast that includes Iyabo Ojo, Muka Ray, Toyin Abraham, Jide Kosoko, Yinka Quadri, Yvonne Jegede, Ini Edo, Toro Aramide, Binta Ayo Mogaji, Korede Bello, Broda Shaggi, Debo Macaroni, Olaiya Igwe, Mariam Ray and Pricilla Ojo amongst other; Okirika series is expected to not just entertain alone but also educate the audience of the daily struggle of life to the top.

Reiterating on the motive behind the partnership, StarTimes CEO, Alex Jian noted that the deal will further strengthen ST Nollywood Plus channel to meet the yearnings of the Nollywood audience, irrespective of social class.”
Speaking at the cast unveiling, StarTimes Content Director, Viki Liu disclosed that this is another StarTimes move to be grounded with indigenous content and also give subscribers value for their money. She said ‘ We believe the partnership with this two industry giant will further help position and showcase the brand commitments to local contents.
Iyabo Ojo however noted that the shoot of the new series will commence October 2, 2021 and would be produced by Muka Ray Eyiwunmi
