Stakeholders offer panacea for Niger Delta woes

Stakeholders in the Niger Delta region have identified that the various problems plaguing the region were due to the long years of marginalization and that good governance was the only panacea to redress these ills.

The stakeholders identified the problems and solutions at an event organised by Organisation for Global Healthier and Conflicts, an NGO in collaboration with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on Thursday in Port Harcourt.

The one day event brought together stakeholders including youths, women, traders and other interest groups in the region, to brainstorm on the theme, “Advocacy on Education for Good Governance and Peaceful Co-existence in the Niger Delta region.”

One of the Speakers at the event, Prince Dimkpa Alikor Charles stated that for Niger Delta to have peaceful co-existence, the problems must be identified, stressing that the way forward is good governance.
