South East will benefit tremendously from 2018 budget- Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the people of Anambra State that the South East region that they will benefit tremendously from the 2018 budget, stating that the government has not lost sight of its campaign promise to stabilise the country.
President Buhari said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has made progress in the security and economy of Nigeria, adding that the people are happy with the harvest in the last two seasons.
Buhari who stated this on Wednesday at the APC governorship campaign rally in Akwa, the Anambra State capital, towards Saturday’s election in the state, assured that the 2018 budget will provide opportunity for his government to show its love for the region and that they are prepared to work with a new zeal and vigour.
National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie- Oyegun, who described the campaign rally as historic, stated that Anambra is the gateway to the South East.
He called on all voters in the state to turn out enmass and vote for Dr. Tony Okechukwu Nwoye, the party’s candidate for the November 18 guber election.
Also speaking, former governor of the state and Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige berated those who accuse the party of planning to rig the election. He stated that the APC is built on equity and fair play.
Ngige said President Buhari came in through the freest and most credible election in Nigeria’s electoral history.
Ngige assured that he was committed to ensuring that victory of the party in the state and has remain its number supporter by all standards for the campaign and therefore called on all party members in the state to work with him to ensure victory for the party.
