Sone Aluko missed a late penalty as Queens Park Rangers won 2-1 away at their West London rivals Fulham in the Championship. The Nigeria forward had a chance to rescue a point for the Cottagers at the death after Idrissa Sylla had hit an 87th-minute strike following earlier goals from Conor Washington and Tim Ream when the Guinea forward was penalised for a high foot in the box in stoppage time. However, Aluko’s penalty hit the post as Fulham, who had earlier had a spot kick from Tom Cairney saved, fell to their third defeat of the season.
