As efforts are ongoing for the National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress to vacate his seat, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), reports say,has disconnected power from the party’s headquarters over unpaid bills at the Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja.
The number of months owed by the Nigeria’s governing party has not been made known as of the time of filing this report but sources disclosed to our correspondent in Abuja that the party owes up to the tune of N1.7 million and N500,000 was paid as of October 24.
Visitors say the party headquarters has been in darkness for over 3 weeks now as it is yet to pay up and sometimes run the secretariat on diesel power plant.
