Shettima Thanks Nigerians, Tinubu, First Lady for Birthday Messages

Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed deep gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, state governors, lawmakers, and Nigerians from all walks of life for their goodwill messages on his 59th birthday.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Shettima described the outpouring of prayers and kind words as a profound reminder of the value of service and solidarity. He noted that the message from President Tinubu, which he said was “steeped in warmth and comradeship,” touched him deeply and reaffirmed their bond of loyalty and shared commitment to Nigeria’s progress.

“To serve alongside you, under your visionary and people-centred leadership, in shaping the destiny of our great nation through the Renewed Hope Agenda, is both an honour and a lifelong lesson in courage and statesmanship,” Shettima said of the President.

He also thanked the First Lady for her message and acknowledged the support he received from governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives, cabinet members, traditional and religious leaders, community figures, and ordinary citizens across Nigeria.

The Vice President said the goodwill messages had strengthened his resolve to remain committed to public service and the pursuit of a secure, prosperous, and just Nigeria.

“As I meditate on these tokens of goodwill, I am renewed in purpose and fortified in spirit. I remain convinced, as does Mr. President, that Nigeria’s greatest days are ahead of us,” Shettima added.
