Sheikh Jibrin leads SDP Governorship campaign in Kogi

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has named Sheikh Ibrahim Jibrin as Director-General of its governorship campaign organisation and Hon. Abdulrahman Wuya Mohammed as State Secretary.

The appointments is part of preparations by the party towards successful outing in the forthcoming November 11, governorship election in Kogi State.

A statement on Sunday made available to the Daily Times by Mr Faruk Adejoh-Audu, spokesman of the Murtala Ajaka Gubernatorial Campaign Organization of the SDP code named, “Muri/Sam Campaign Organization, disclosed that SDP Muri/Sam Campaign Organization campaign hierarchy is made up of grassroots politicians, top-rated technocrats and seasoned professionals across the three senatorial zones of Kogi State.

Acvording to Adejoh, the Council has Col. Suleiman Babanawa (Rtd) as State Chairman while Hon. Peter Moses is to serve as State Co-chairman.

Brig-Gen. Benjamin Ipinyomi heads the security wing of the Campaign Organisation as Director, Security and Intelligence with an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) (rtd), Hajiya Aisha Asabe Yusuf as Deputy Director.

Hon. Faruk Adejoh-Audu retains his position as Director, Communications/Campaign Spokesman with the position of Deputy Director Spokesman, going to Pastor Dayo Thomas while Hon. Ahmed Attah remains Director, Youth Affairs.

Rt. Hon. Lawal Idris is to head Kogi Central Zone as Chairman while Hon. Akomi Yusuf Ojapa remains the Zonal Director-General with Hon. Anokebe as Zonal Secretary:

In Kogi West, Zonal Chairman is Chief Adeyemi with Hon. Chief Fehnti Dada as Zonal Director-General and Hon. Abayomi Bello as Zonal Secretary:

Kogi East Zonal Officers are as follows: Chairman, Alhaji Hassan Yakubu Enape; Director General, Hon. Suleiman Atajachi and Zonal Secretary, Hon: Ranyi Daniya.

Adejoh-Audu said further announcements and details of other key functionaries of the campaign organisation would be released in due course.
