Senators Protest Uneven Withdrawal of Police Orderlies, Demand Equal Enforcement

Lawmakers in the Nigerian Senate has called for equity in the implementation of the presidential order for the withdrawal of policemen attached to very important personalities in the country.

The lawmakers who lamented the withdrawal of their orders called on the News get a Police Force authority to extend the implementation of such withdrawal to state governors, ministers and heads of government agencies as well as sine influential individuals.

Central senatorial district at plenary on Wednesday raised a point of order to notify the Senate leadership of the withdrawal of his only police orderly while he noted with pain that other persons in public offices still have their security compliments intact.

Deputy Senate President, Jubrin Barau who presided over plenary also lamented that while the directive was fully applied on members of the parliamentary arm of government, members of the executive and privileged businessmen have policemen attached to them not withdrawn.

Barau informed the legislators that the matter has been officially taken up at government level and justice would be done.
