Senator Obi commends Gov Wike for effective leadership
The Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ben Obi, has commended the Rivers State Governor, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for delivering two years of effective and vibrant governance.
Speaking after joining Governor Wike on projects inspection in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor local government areas on Thursday, Senator Obi said that the projects would turn around the fortunes of the state.
He explained that the projects were relevant to the lives of the people and the economy of the state, saying: “These projects speak for themselves. What you are seeing today is just for two years of effective and vibrant governance. These are projects that will turn around Rivers State. One is quite impressed by the period of time that Governor Wike has put these projects in place.”
Wike’s guest said that the PDP has remained proud of the achievements of the governor, noting that he was delivering on his campaign promises to the people.
He assured the governor of the support of the leadership and members of the PDP, urging him not to succumb to intimidation and political harassment.
The Secretary of the PDP National Caretaker Committee added: “No matter the intimidation and political harassment, Governor Wike still concerns himself with the delivery of democracy dividends to the people.”
The governor and Senator Obi visited Port Harcourt Pleasure Park and the State Ecumenical Centre.
