Senate passes N8.916trillion 2019 budget
…Jerks executive requisition by N86b
…Adds N10b Zamfara Intervention fund to Service vide vote

The Senate today okayed a total expenditure of N8.916 trillion as the 2019 budget of the Federal government.
The approved sum was N86billion higher than the du of N8.83trilion presented by the executive.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday 18th December, 2018 laid before ajoit session of National Assembly, the revenue and Expenditure of government.
A sum of N10 billion approved by the parliament as Intervention fund for the people of Zamfara State to cushion the effects of crisis in the state as a result of armed banditry and kidnapping was added to the service vide vote meant for special Intervention Programmes.
