See full list of phones that will lose Whatsapp by December .

Many smartphones will lose their ability to use the popular cross-platform messaging application known as Whatsapp. The app which has become quite useful to Nigerians has decided to stop supporting some smartphones. Facebook-owned WhatsApp, which is used by a billion people worldwide, will stop working on the named operating systems by December 2016. But it will still work on Blackberry’s latest smartphone which runs Android.” Here is a list of operating systems (OS), Whatsapp will stop supporting at the end of 2016: – Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 – Blackberry OS 7 and earlier – Blackberry 10 – Nokia S40 – Nokia Symbian S60 – Windows Phone 7.1 Here is a list of phones affected by the coming change.
