SDP chieftain assures on electoral success
Chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Chairman of the Party in Osun State, Alhaji Ademola Ishola has boasted that the party would uproot the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) from power in the September 22, 2018 governorship election.
Ademola in a chat with The Daily Times in Osogbo, at the inauguration of the local government working committees of the party said that the people of the State are seriously yearning for changes in the coming election.
According to him, the eight years of maladministration of the APC had forced the people of the State to move en-mass to support the SDP for the much desired change.
The Chieftain averred that the SDP would right all the wrongs perpetrated by the Aregbesola led government through conscious efforts and the burning desire to secure the people.
“What do you need to say than to congratulate the people of the State of virtue for coming on board for the SDP to the Nigeria Political landscape? SDP would definitely uproot the APC from governance,” he boasted.
Ademola Ishola added that the leadership of the SDP would afford party members to nominate only credible candidate to contest elections unlike the APC which is noted for imposing candidates on electorate.
He said “Our party is people oriented”. The masses are our backbone. We cannot afford to disappoint them. This is our guarding spirit” he added.
The SDP Chieftain however, appealed for more support for the party at all levels while calling on the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), to be fair and just to all political parties in the coming election in the state, in the interest of peace and stability in the system.
