The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday, visited former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, in his Minna countryhome.
Saraki, whose visit was said to be personal, left Abuja for Minna after addressing a world press conference in condemnation of Tuesday siege on the National Assembly by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS).
Though details of his visit was sketchy, there is strong indication that it might not be unconnected with recent developments in the nation’s political space.
Saraki’s Chief Press Secretary, Sani Onogu, in a telephone chat did not give details of the meeting. He said the Senate president was in Minna for just a visit.
“It is just a normal visit. There is no story emanating from it. It was just a private visit “, he added.
