There are indications that the General Manager, Abia State Environmental sanitation Authority (ASEPA), Victor Apugo is yet to intimate the Abia State House of Assembly of any financial hardship that necessitated its poor performance in the state.
The hint was dropped by the member representing Umuahia North in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Kelechi Onuzuruike Saturday while monitoring July clean-up exercise in the state, assuring that as part of his oversight function, he will be interacting with Apugo “to see what to do”.
He said, “the General Manager of ASEPA has not come to the House to say ‘we are starved of fund’”, pointing out that it is disheartening that refuse abound everywhere in the state and not limited to Umuahia alone, but Aba and even Ohafia areas.
