Samsung, Microsoft to partner Abia women on technology

Technology giant, Samsung and an internet giant, Microsoft, have indicated their readiness to imbibe technology on Abia women through training.

This cheerful hint was dropped at the 2017 and 3rd annual edition of the Abia Women August Delegates Conference (AWADEC), otherwise known as August Meeting for Abia Central Senatorial District of the state during its flag off by the wife of the Abia State Governor, Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu, recently at Okpuala Ngwa in Isiala Ngwa North LGA of the state.

Delivering the cheerful news, the representative of the Bank of Industry (BoI), Dr. (Mrs.) Nina Ogbaga, described it as “another opportunity”, and agreed to “fully partner with the Abia State Government to train women on technology development” in the state.

She assured the women that with the likes of the wife of the Abia State Governor, Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu, “the project will not die in their (Samsung and Microsoft) attempt to transform Abia State.

She used the opportunity to inform the women that the Bank of Industry is ready to assist them with interest-free loans to assist them in their various ventures.
