Sabbatarian Youths Endorse Jonathan

Ahead of the March 28, 2015 presidential election, the National Association of Sabbatarian Youths numbering about 1.8 million have adopted President Goodluck Jonathan.

The adoption of President Jonathan was informed by their belief that his programmes would favour the Nigerian youths, going by what his administration has done so far, according to the executive members of the association.

A communiqué signed by the national president of the association, Mr. Kelechi Udezeh, the national secretary, Mr. Clement Orjiobasi and the public relations officer, Mr. James Opia, listed Jonathan’s achievements that favour the youths to include SURE –P, empowering youths through the churches, resistance to terrorism, elevation of the country’s democracy to the level of observance of the rule of law, improving quality of education through the establishment of several federal universities in all the geo-political zones of the country and establishment of Almajari schools in many parts of the North.

The group said: “Our president is a role model and youths learn from him. Though members of the opposition have been having a field day in criticizing him, the president has not manifested any form of retaliation.

“Having evaluated the political situation in the country, the youths of all Christians worshiping on Saturdays have decided to support his reelection bid. Already, we have printed and distributed over 20,000 pieces of well-articulated stickers as part of our campaign programme.”

The group however urged the president to continue to give the youths positions of importance in the next dispensation, assuring that they would not disappoint.
