RUMOURS: Real Madrid made shock Rakitic move
Real Madrid tried to sign Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic this summer, a report form Mundo Deportivo states.
With Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes both moving to Camp Nou in the summer, the Santiago Bernabeu side tried to sign the Croatia international for a second time, having previously made a bid for him in 2014.
No official offer was made, but when los Blancos made a statement of their intent to Barca, it was made clear that any effort to grab the 28-year-old would be unsuccessful.
