Rohr invites Nwakaeme for Cameroon clash
Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has extended an invitation to Hapoel Be’er Sheva striker Anthony Nwakaeme ahead of Nigeria’s clash against Cameroon.
Red hot Nwakaeme was voted the best player in Israel last season and the 28-year-old has so far picked up from where he left off last season for the Champions of Israel in the UEFA Champions League Qualifiers.
Nwakaeme scored a screamer for Hapoel Be’er Sheva in their last game against Maribo, which they won 2-1, the goal was his 4th in five UEFA Champions League Qualifiers game this season.
Rohr has rewarded his form with a first time call up to the senior national team of Nigeria, who are going to resume soon for the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers back to back clash against Cameroon next month.
His club Hapoel Be’er Sheva confirmed the invitation of the player who scored 14 goals last season with a post on their official facebook handle congratulating him and John Ogu over their call up to the Nigeria senior national team.
