Restructuring: APC, an unrepentant Liar – ADP

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has described the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) as unrepentant liars on the restructuring position recently made public by the El Rufai Committee, describing it as a political gimmick designed to shift public attention from across the board, condemnations trailing the lacklustre performance of the present administration.

National Chairman of ADP, Engr. Yabagi Sani in a chat with journalists in Abuja on Sunday expressed worry that unless Nigerians are called to caution, APC may deceive the people again as they did with the Change mantra in 2015.

He said: “The fresh restructuring postulation by the APC is a total deceit going by the track record of the Party. They rode on the back of great promises in 2015 without clearly fulfilling any till date. Again as we enter election year they are coming up with what many of them strongly condemn and opposed.”

Engr. Yabagi Sani argued that the restructuring report was cooked up by hired person to portray APC on the side of the people and shift focus from the content of Obasanjo’s letter.

“How can they give what they don’t have” he queried, pointing that APC itself lack structure and not functioning saying: “The government is confused and clueless and their majority at the National Assembly is uncoordinated without respect.

“Instead of trying to deceive and hoodwink Nigerians again, the APC should rather apologize to ex President Jonathan for getting him changed on a phantom promise of change, Nigerians should not believe them, APC does not believe in state merger, resource control or state police. They are pathological liars”, he added.

The ADP Chairman however want Nigerians to stop lamenting, urging them to team up with the Action Democratic Party as the credible alternative to sweep APC and all its unfulfilled promises into history and pilot a greater tomorrow.

The True Federalism and Restructuring Panel set up by the APC headed by the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El’Rufai to seek peoples opinion on restructuring, submitted its report to the party chairman, Chief John Oyegun at the Party Secretariat in Abuja last week recommending scraping of Local Governments by introducing 2 tiers of Government, advising for state merger, resource control and state policing among others.
