
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has donated 1 million euros (1.08 million dollars) to the fight against Covid-19 in Spain.
The Spaniard’s money will benefit a donation campaign promoted by the Medical College of Barcelona and the Angel Soler Daniel Foundation, the BBC reported Tuesday.

Guardiola’s money will help to buy medical equipment and protective material for the hospital staff, the BBC said.

Spain is one of the worst affected countries by the pandemic, with almost 40,000 cases, including 2,696 deaths. (dpa)
