Rep member, Akin Alabi, commiserates with Makinde over brother’s death

Member of the House of Representatives for Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Works, Honourable Akin Alabi,

has expressed condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on the sudden passing of his elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde, who died on Friday at 65.

Alabi conveyed his sympathy in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Hameed Ramadan, on Friday.

He said he acknowledged the pain of losing a loved one, praying for the Makindes and asking for their understand that it was an act of God.

“It is with great sadness that I received the news of the passing of Engr. Sunday Makinde. Losing an elder brother is a deeply painful experience; and my thoughts and prayers are with Governor Seyi Makinde, the Makinde family, the indigenes and residents of Oyo State over this loss,” he said.

Alabi prayed for God’s comfort and strength for Governor Makinde and his family “during this difficult time,” praying that the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace.

“On behalf of myself, my family and the good people of Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, I extend my sincere condolences to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the entire Makinde family.

“May God grant you the fortitude to bear this loss, and may Engr. Sunday Makinde’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him,” he prayed.
