Renewed Hope Initiative: APC chieftain hails Tinubu over Okowa’s appointment

The Chairman, Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Professor Emmanuel U. Tibi, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of the former Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as the South -South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative of the President.

Tibi made the commendation in Asaba while speaking on the choice of the ex- Governor of Delta State and described the appointment as a welcome development.

The Delta PPEB Chairman, who congratulated Senator Okowa on his appointment by President Tinubu, said that his recognition by the Nigerian leader is a very positive development for the South-South GeoPolitical zone in general and for Delta State in particular.

He said that Senator Okowa is a dedicated and focused political leader with an unblemished track record and uncommon passion for the socioeconomic growth and development of South -South.

Tibi explained that as an experienced grassroots politician, who diligently served as Local Government Council Chairman, a civil commissioner, a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and later as the Governor of Delta State, there is no doubt in his capacity to deliver effectively on this mandate as expected by the President.

He said that the immediate past Governor of Delta State is an astute politician and a result-oriented leader, noting that under his watch as the Governor, he served the state meritoriously, just as the current Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration is expanding the frontiers through its MORE Agenda by providing massive development in the State.

Tibi stated that the former Delta State Governor had always been a team player and consummate administrator, emphasizing that he would leverage his experience to interface with other leaders across the six States in the region with a view to galvanizing victory for the Renewed Hope Initiative of the President and the All -Progressive Congress (APC).
