Udoaka comments: “I am excited by this new challenge at Rack Centre. I look forward to working with the Executive Leadership Team at Rack Centre to transform the data centre and cloud services landscape in Africa, simplify the ICT landscape for Enterprise to enable them focus on their core business whilst enjoying a reduction in total cost of ownership. For example, the Central Bank is pushing the Bankers Committee Sponsored Shared Services Programme where Banks are required to migrate to Tier lll Design Certified Data Centre Facilities such as Rack Centre. The CBN’s objective is to reduce IT Costs, improve availability of services to customer and eventually improve cost to income ratio for the banks. Enterprise and SME’s are battling with increasing costs associated with ICT and planning how to move their spend from Capex to an Opex model. There is a clear difference between Rack Centre and other Data Centre providers in West Africa. I am fortunate to be joining a truly Nigerian and world class company that is committed to increasing our ICT contribution to GDP through the quality and world-class service it currently provides its Customers.”
Ayotunde Coker, managing director of Rack Centre said “Frederick’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge makes him a key addition to the Rack Centre family. He has a sterling profile and track record and his appointment takes Rack Centre’s business development to a new level of impact in the marketplace.”
