Pyrates Confraternity Donates Educational Materials To Schools
The Natational Association of Seadogs (NAS) (aka Pyrates Confraternity), Benin I branch, in collaboration with Canada branch has donated educational materials to students of two Senior Secondary Schools in Benin City as part of NAS Child Education Project.
The materials included over 200 school bags, 800 note books and pens. Benefiting schools were Iyekogba Secondary Schools, Irhiri and Midwestern Primary and Secondary Schools, both in Oredo Local Government Area of the State.
President NAS, Benin branch, I Mr. Bello Ganihu said the choice of the schools was informed by the need to positively affect members of its host communities where the schools are located.
Vice President NAS, Canada branch, Mr. Teddyson Iyonmana said the donation was part of NAS Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) to freely give to members of the society.
According to him, since NAS was founded over 60 years ago, it has been in the business of promoting good neighbourliness and helping to promote an ideal society, where everyone is his/her brother’s keeper.
Receiving the items on behalf of Iyekogba Secondary School, the Principal of the Senior School, Mrs. Kate Ehimhen thanked NAS for the gesture.
On his part, the Principal II of the Senior School, Mr. Lawrence Igbinoghodua said the gesture of NAS was laudable and prayed God to continue to support the association’s noble cause.
Highlight of the ceremony was the distribution of the bags containing notebooks and pens to the students.
